Bo Davis
Teaching Guitar Since 1970s

Bo Davis has been playing guitar for over 60 years and teaching for nearly as long. His musical journey began at age nine, inspired by The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964 and guided by his father's deep love of music. By age fourteen, Bo was teaching guitar through the FAME program, a structured course developed by Chet Atkins, at a local music store in Cleveland, Tennessee. While still a teenager, he was working professionally as a musician, playing clubs in Chattanooga under union contracts. At eighteen, Bo joined a live Hee Haw stage production in Gatlinburg, led by Archie Campbell, launching his career in country music. Through connections made during that time, he met Chet Atkins at RCA in Nashville and toured extensively with national country acts across the United States and Canada.
After a major accident forced him to relearn how to play, Bo deepened his empathy as an educator, believing students should learn how to teach themselves.
